COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE ENFORCEMENT

ON 06/16/2022, THE HUDSON POLICE DEPARTMENT, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE COLORADO STATE PATROL, CONDUCTED A ZERO-TOLERANCE COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE ENFORCEMENT OPERATION WITHIN HUDSON TOWN LIMITS.  DURING THE FOUR-HOUR OPERATION, HPD AND CSP STOPPED AND INSPECTED NUMEROUS COMMERCIAL TRUCKS WITH THE FOLLOWING RESULTS:

30 TRUCK INSPECTIONS RESULTING IN 91 VIOLATIONS

18 TRUCKS WERE TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE FOR SAFETY VIOLATIONS

12 CITATIONS INCLUDING 3 SEATBELT VIOLATIONS, 2 VEHICLE REGISTRATION VIOLATIONS, 1 HAZMAT VIOLATION, AND OVERWEIGHT VIOLATIONS.

IT IS A TOP PRIORITY FOR THE HUDSON POLICE DEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE TRAFFIC SAFETY TO ALL RESIDENTS AND VISITORS OF HUDSON. WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE COLORADO STATE PATROL FOR THEIR VALUED PARTNERSHIP AND TEAMWORK.
