Palmer Lake Police Citizen's Academy!

The Citizens Police Academy provides an exciting opportunity for community members to learn more about the roles and responsibilities of the Palmer Lake Police Department.  Academy attendees will learn from our police personnel on such topics as Community Policing, Patrol Procedures, Criminal Investigations, Officer Safety, Defensive Tactics, Less Lethal Options, Use of Deadly Force – shooting various police weapons, Internal Affairs, and more.  The Academy is designed to give participants an overview of the various aspects of the Palmer Lake Police Department’s function and operational procedures.  The Academy is one day per week for 7 consecutive weeks, June 19^th 2023 through August 14^th 2023 (no class on July 3^rd), meeting on Monday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., and one Saturday at the Range (July 29^th).  Location will be the Palmer Lake Town Hall.
