On September 30, 2025, at approximately 11:32 PM, a Milton Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a Chrysler passenger car and identified the driver as Andrew Pruitt. The Officer noticed signs of drug impairment and began a DUI investigation. Pruitt showed clear indicators of impairment and was arrested for DUI related to drug use. A computer check revealed that Pruitt's license was suspended and he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The investigation uncovered multiple bags of heroin, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Pruitt was arrested and charged with several offenses, including driving under the influence of drugs, possessing controlled substances, possessing drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and failing to answer a summons. He was taken to the Milton Police Department, processed, and then committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution.
All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
