In 2022 alone, 74 people died in alcohol-impaired-driving crashes.
According to the data, male drivers were more likely to be involved in fatal crashes, with 29% of drunk drivers being male, compared to 14% being female. Furthermore, young drivers aged 21-34 accounted for the highest percentage (34%) of alcohol-impaired drivers involved in fatal traffic crashes during the 2022 St. Patrick's Day holiday.
