On Wednesday, February 19th, members of the Dover Police Department met with Father Jakubowski, who had concerns regarding unhoused individuals in town and how recent immigration enforcement has impacted our community.
During our conversation, we shared with Father Jakubowski how we have partnered with several community organizations and held numerous outreach events to help those in need. We also discussed New Jersey’s Immigration Trust Directive, which is designed to strengthen trust between local law enforcement and the state’s diverse immigrant communities, ensuring that victims and witnesses feel safe reporting crimes.
