On February 20th of this year, Officers of the Gettysburg Police Department were dispatched to 150 Chambersburg St., Brent Guise Family Dentistry for a reported theft from the business by an employee.

The incident was assigned for follow-up investigation to the criminal investigation section, Det. Brian Weikert.  Through detailed investigation Det. Weikert was able to determine that there was approx. $35,000 taken from the business over an extended period of time.  Charges were filed against Rebecca Chapman of Gettysburg. The charges include eight (8) felony counts of Forgery, one (1) felony count of Insurance Fraud, one (1) felony count of Receiving Stolen Property, one (1) felony count of Theft by Unlawful Taking, and one (1) felony count of Theft by Failure to make Required Disposition of Funds.

Chapman was arraigned before MDJ Matthew Harvey and released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
